One of the beauties of chiropractic care is the different ways we can achieve the goal of caring for the patient. At Orchard Chiropractic & Physiotherapy, Dr. Barnett and Dr. Bortolon are skilled in the use of multiple techniques which allows them to be flexible to address each patient’s needs in a way that best suits their case.  As such, we are able to provide effective healthcare solutions for a large variety of conditions.  Infant to senior, professional athlete to weekend warrior, we have you covered!

We believe it’s important to educate our patients on why we are performing each adjustment. And we’ll explain how our adjustments help to restore the joint mobility which is normal and healthy throughout your body.

Methods and Techniques

At Orchard Chiropractic & Physiotherapy we use the following techniques:

After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up “stuck” spinal joints.

Thompson Drop

Thompson Drop technique uses a special table that reduces the amount of energy needed to adjust your spine.

Activator Methods®

This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.

Applied Kinesiology

Testing the strength of specific muscles of your body helps us find structural, chemical and mental problems and monitor your results.

Upper Cervical Specific

Relying on precise mathematical calculations, we deliver a specific and highly-controlled contact to the upper bones of your spine.

Active Release Techniques (ART®)

Athletic injuries and many muscle-related conditions respond quickly and permanently with this state-of-the-art soft tissue technique.

Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)

SMFA involves assessment of posture through a series of movements. We look at the body globally to isolate problem spots, gain better insight into movement of the body, and have a better ability to investigate subluxations and injuries.
